CSE-(IOT & Cyber Security including Blockchain Technology)
B.E in Computer Science & Engineering (Internet of Things and Cyber security including Block chain Technology) has been started in Cambridge Institute of Technology from the academic year 2023-24 with the intake of 60 students, which is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi and recognised by AICTE, New Delhi. This undergraduate engineering course has been started by the Cambridge Institute of Institute of Technology with the vision of empowering the young engineers with the emerging technologies for sustained growth of technology and economy of the country.
A worthwhile, growing field, cyber security focuses on protecting organizations or an individual from digital attacks and keeping their information and networks safe. Cyber security experts detect vulnerabilities, recommend software and hardware programs that can mitigate risks, and develop policies and procedures for maintaining security. As more businesses move their operations online, and with cyber-attacks on the rise, the need for skilled cyber security professionals is projected to grow, particularly for healthcare and financial organizations.
The existing and upcoming IoT applications are highly promising to increase the level of comfort, efficiency and automation for the users. To be able to implement such a world in an ever-growing fashion requires high security, privacy, authentication and recovery from attacks. The future of IoT has the potential to be limitless. Advances to the industrial internet will be accelerated through increased network agility, integrated artificial intelligence and the capacity to deploy, automate, orchestrate and secure diverse use cases at hyper scale.
A Block chain is a decentralized, distributed and public digital ledger that is used to record transactions across many computers so that the record cannot be altered retroactively without the alteration of all subsequent blocks and the consensus of the network.
In this programme, the focus is on teaching concepts such as cyber-crime, Network Security, Data structures, Design and Analysis of Algorithms, Cryptography, Intrusion Detection and
Prevention Systems. It also emphasizes courses related to IoT and Block Chain Technology. The programme fulfils the need for experienced professionals in Cyber Security and IoT.
