Dr. K.N. Balasubramanya Murthy
Advisor, CIT, Bengaluru

Prof. K. N. Balasubramanya Murthy (KNB) is the Advisor to Cambridge Institute of Technology, Bengaluru (since March 2024) and a distinguished academic leader with 40+ years of experience across teaching, research, administration, and industry. He holds a B.E. in Electrical Power Engineering from Malnad College of Engineering, an M.E. from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru, and a Ph.D. in Computer Science & Engineering from IIT Madras.

Prof. Murthy has served as Vice-Chancellor of Dayananda Sagar University and PES University, and as Director/Principal of PES Institute of Technology and Founder Director/Principal of East West Institute of Technology. He has also held academic and industry roles in India and the USA, including a research assignment in Parallel Computing at New Mexico State University.

A prolific researcher, he has authored 100+ research publications, a book published by John Wiley, guided six Ph.D. scholars, secured funded projects, and filed patents. He has held key advisory and governance roles with KSHEC, BITES (Government of Karnataka), IIITs, VTU, and several universities, and has served as a NAAC assessor and Peer Team Chair.

His contributions have been recognized with multiple national honors, including the Karnataka Science and Technology Academy (KSTA) Fellowship, CM Nagaraj Memorial Award, and several citations for excellence in higher education and research.
