The Basic Sciences subjects are pivotal for every engineering stream. These subjects taught for the students in the first semester help them in better understanding and application of the same in their respective courses. The department was started from the inception of the college. Its objective is to provide value based education to its budding engineers. The department has well qualified and dedicated faculty who are a blend of knowledge and experience. The strong foundation laid by the department helps the students to apply knowledge in a better way & become a successful engineer. The department comprises of three sub-departments namely Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. All these three sub – departments exist as separate divisions and maintain individual identity. R & D centers recognized by VTU are established in all the three departments. The unique strength of the department is the excellent coordination in carrying out academic responsibilities.
