AVGC XR Technology Bootcamp

The Department of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning at Cambridge Institute of Technology successfully organized the AVGC XR Technology Bootcamp, providing students with a unique opportunity to explore emerging technologies and gain valuable industry exposure. The bootcamp was designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry requirements by introducing students to the rapidly evolving domains of Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming, Artificial Intelligence, Virtual Reality, and Extended Reality technologies.

The session offered participants an in-depth understanding of the growing AVGC (Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming, and Comics) ecosystem and its convergence with advanced technologies such as Artificial Intelligence and Extended Reality. Through engaging discussions and industry-oriented insights, students were introduced to the latest trends, career opportunities, and technological advancements shaping the future of digital content creation, immersive experiences, and intelligent systems.

The department was privileged to host Ms. Shiji Sunil, a distinguished industry expert, whose extensive experience and expertise provided students with valuable perspectives on the practical applications of emerging technologies. Her interaction with the participants highlighted the importance of creativity, innovation, and interdisciplinary skills in building successful careers within the technology and creative industries. The session inspired students to explore new possibilities and develop a deeper understanding of the evolving digital landscape.

The institution extends its sincere gratitude to Unicorn Pictures Pvt. Ltd. for their collaboration and support in making the bootcamp a meaningful and impactful learning experience. Their contribution played a significant role in exposing students to real-world industry practices and enhancing their awareness of the opportunities available in the AVGC and XR domains.

The successful organization of the AVGC XR Technology Bootcamp was made possible under the guidance of Dr. Varalatchoumy M., Head of the Department, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, and the dedicated efforts of Prof. Syed Hayath, Faculty Coordinator. Their commitment to providing industry-relevant learning opportunities ensured the smooth execution of the event and enriched the overall learning experience for the participants.

The bootcamp served as an excellent platform for students to expand their knowledge, foster creativity, and explore the transformative potential of emerging technologies. By encouraging innovation, experimentation, and industry engagement, the event reinforced the department’s commitment to preparing students for the future of technology-driven industries and empowering them to become innovators and creators of tomorrow.
