Knowledge Partnership with IIT Bombay - ST

Remote learning from IIT Bombay spoken tutorials is an attempt to take the MOOC training to the next level for many IT lab courses and enhance employability skill sets of UG / PG students and Faculty of Cambridge Institute of Technology.

Spoken Tutorial is a multi-award winning educational content portal.  Here one can learn various Free and Open Source Software all by oneself.  Self-paced, multi-lingual courses ensure that anybody with a computer and a desire for learning can learn from any place, at any time and in a language of their choice.

Courses are simple and easy to follow even for a beginner but, they also meet the growing needs of the learner.  Engaging digital content ensures that learning happens at all levels – Basic, Intermediate and Advanced. Content in IITB-ST mandates side-by-side practice thereby ensuring that learners are actively learning.  Many of the software’s taught, are used in various disciplines of Engineering

Cambridge Institute of Technology on 3rd July 2020 paid subscription fee of 25,000/- (Twenty Five Thousand only) and became the Knowledge Partner with IIT Bombay Spoken Tutorial Project. With this association, in next one year CIT can conduct 6 free certification courses (Student Development Programs) per student and can conduct various Faculty Development Programs for faculty fraternity of various departments.

In this regard, Principal and HoDs of each department has identified Department Coordinator who will coordinate with College Level Coordinators to conduct various SDPs and FDPs for the academic year 2020-2021.

After the association, From June to September Dept. of CSE, Dept. of EEE and Dept. of MCA conducted Various SDPs and FDPs in which a total of 2,039 participants have registered including external participants. Looking at the progress of CIT in conduction of SDPs and FDPs in short duration, IIT Bombay Spoken Tutorial has decided to collaborate with your College in the state of Karnataka as a Knowledge Provider and accorded the special status of a Resource Center/Nodal Center.
