Jagruthi Sustainability Awareness Program
“Jagruthi,” an initiative by the Center for Sustainability and Executive Education at Cambridge Institute of Technology (CIT), is a monthly sustainability-focused program designed to promote awareness, inspire action, and foster community engagement. This program is aligned with the United Nations’ sustainability calendar days, addressing critical global issues through a variety of events and activities.
Each month, “Jagruthi” will spotlight a specific sustainability theme and involve students, faculty, and staff in meaningful initiatives, such as donation drives, workshops, awareness campaigns, and practical community-focused projects. By integrating these activities into campus life, “Jagruthi” seeks to nurture a culture of sustainability while empowering students to lead positive change.

- Encourage Action: Foster active involvement in community-oriented activities and initiatives.
- Develop Leadership: Provide opportunities for students to lead and contribute to sustainability projects.
- Align with Global Efforts: Support the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
- Strengthen Community Ties: Build a collaborative platform for students, faculty, and external partners to address sustainability challenges collectively.

- Social Impact: Positive contributions to local and global sustainability through impactful initiatives.
